Preparation for the upcoming merging lane closure requires a traffic restrictions starting at 11 p.m. Friday (Feb 20) to 5 a.m. Monday (Feb 23) including:
Westbound US 60 - Double right-lane closure.
Westbound McClintock Drive - On-ramp closed.
Westbound Rural Road - Off-ramp closed.
North and southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) to westbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) connection ramps - closed.
Westbound Merging Lane closure loop 101(price freeway) to Rural Road
Beginning Monday, Feb. 23, for up to 60 days
As part of the US 60 (Superstition Freeway) widening project, merging lanes are being added and/or re-constructed. The addition of these merging lanes (far right-hand side) between interchanges is designed to improve safety and traffic flow by giving drivers more room to merge on and off the freeway. In order to construct the new merging lanes, the following restriction is required:
Please travel safely in the construction zone and follow detour routes and posted speed limits. ADOT is committed to providing construction information to stakeholders and welcomes your comments and feedback.
