Backing up/Reversing Move slowly and take extra care while reversing your vehicle. Before reversing, check the way behind you is clear. Be extra careful to look for children and cyclists. Put the vehicle in the reverse gear and turn sideways in your seat to look over your shoulder in the direction you are moving. Hold the steering wheel firmly. |
U-turn � To make U-turn, signal for a right turn, check your mirror and pull over to the right side of the road. Stop, signal a right turn and when traffic is clear in both directions, move forward and turn quickly and sharply into the opposite lane. |

Animals on the road Animals, especially cows, may come on the road often from any side. Be alert when animals come and slow down. Animals on roads are a major cause of accidents. |
Mobile phones While on driving stop using mobile phones because while talking on mobile might divert your attention and hence it leads to accident. |
Emergency vehicles If you listen any siren sound or any flash light of the police, fire, ambulance or an escort vehicle, get out of the way as soon as you can. Get to the left side and slow down till that vehicle passes you. |
Fog/Rain Fog/Rain reduces visibility of the drivers, resulting in very difficult driving conditions. Avoid driving in fog; plan your trip so that you drive when the fog clears off. |
