Taxi Safety Watch is a Ministry of Transport initiative to monitor criminal incidents reported to the NSW Police Force as having taken place in a taxi or at a taxi rank.
The purpose of providing these statistics is to make taxi drivers aware of incidents reported in taxis or at a taxi rank which may impact on drivers.
The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) provides the Ministry of Transport with quarterly updates of reported crime incidents that the Ministry of Transport uses to monitor and inform the Taxi Industry.
